Campinas, SP, 19 (AFI) – Promovendo testes, a Seleção Brasileira não se saiu bem neste domingo e acabou derrotada por 2 a 0 pelo Canadá, atuais campeãs olímpicas, pela segunda rodada da Shebelieves Cup. No estádio Nashville Fairgrounds Stadium, em Nashiville, Vien e Gilles marcaram os gols da partida, em duas falhas defensivas do Brasil.
Com a derrota, o Brasil perdeu o 100% na competição e caiu para a terceira colocação com três pontos, A seleção foi ultrapassada justamente pelas Canadenses que assumiram a segunda posição, também com três pontos, mas levando vantagem no saldo de gols: 0 a -1.
O JOGO
A seleção brasileira entrou em campo modificada, com até seis mudanças. Pia Sundhage promoveu mudanças táticas na equipe. O que o primeiro tempo demonstrou que as mudanças não encaixaram e o Brasil não teve uma boa atuação. No ataque, o time sofreu para criar jogadas ofensivas e praticamente não deu trabalho para a goleira do Canadá.
Na parte defensiva, a seleção também destoou. Desconectada em boa parte do jogo, a seleção do Canadá foi aproveitando os erros. Adriana Leon quase abriu o placar, com menos de 15 minutos de jogo, mas Lorena fez boa defesa. Aproveitando outra falha defensiva, o Canadá abriu o placar. Após o Brasil ceder o escanteio, Lauren escorregou na pequena área e Gilles subiu sozinha para mandar de cabeça para as redes, aos 30 minutos. Naquele que foi o último lance de perigo do primeiro tempo.
O Brasil voltou com outra postura para a segunda etapa. O Brasil conseguiu criar chances, coisa que não havia conseguido no primeiro tempo. Debinha por duas vezes, teve a chance de empatar. Assim como Ludmilla, que ficou frente a frente com a goleira canademse ,mas demorou para finalizar. Vendo o bom momento de criação, Pia lançou Marta em campo.
Porém a substituição não surtiu efeito. Após o bom início, o Brasil já não conseguia incomodar a goleira canadense. E em outra falha defensiva, após falta cobrada na área, o Canadá conseguiu cabecear duas vezes, até a bola sobrar para Viens, que finalizou de primeira, aos 26 minutos.
O Brasil até ensaiou uma reação na parte final da partida. Em duas chances pelo alto, a goleira Sheridan salvou as cabeçadas de Bia Zaneratto e Gabi Nunes. As chances foram as últimas do Brasil, que não conseguiu evitar a derrota para o Canadá, atuais campeãs olímpicas.
PRÓXIMO JOGO
Pela terceira e última rodada, o Brasil encara as anfitriãs dos Estados Unidos, na quarta-feira, às 21h00. A partida será em Dallas, no Toyota Stadium. Estados Unidos que mais cedo, venceram a seleção do Japão por 1 a 0, com gol de Swanson e lideram a competição com seis pontos. O Japão é o lanterna, ainda sem pontuar.
